What’s Covered
If a component we installed or repaired develops defects in materials or workmanship, we will return to fix the issue. If a part is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, we’ll repair or replace it at no cost to you for labor or parts when eligible.
Our coverage includes critical components that wear over time:

Our garage door installation warranty protects the workmanship and labor we provide when installing your new door. The door manufacturer offers a separate warranty covering the door panels and factory components. We coordinate both warranties to ensure complete protection.

Your Coverage Period
The garage door warranty period varies by component and appears on your invoice. This transparency lets you know exactly what’s covered and for how long before we begin work. For a new garage door installation and a complete overhaul repair, the labor warranty is for the term indicated by the “Warranty Options” section on the front page of the invoice from the date of installation or repair.
Opener Installation Protection
When you need garage door opener repair or a new opener installation, our garage door opener warranty covers labor and installation, while the manufacturer’s warranty covers the opener unit itself.
What’s Not Covered
Understanding warranty exclusions helps you maintain your coverage and avoid unexpected costs. Our warranty does not cover certain situations:
- Work by unauthorized providers: If anyone other than an authorized Precision Garage Door Service technician performs work on parts covered under this warranty, those parts and the labor to repair them are no longer covered.
- Normal wear and maintenance issues: Our warranty does not cover cable displacement or disconnection due to normal operation and issues resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, civil disturbances or Acts of God.
- Consequential damages: The warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages, such as personal injury or property damage, that may result from a garage door malfunction. Some states limit these exclusions, so restrictions may not apply in your area.
- Commercial applications: This warranty applies only to residential installations and repairs.
